ANALYSIS OF NON-ACTIVE POWER AS A NEW PHYSICAL QUANTITY

Rezime

Čovjek je oduvijek bio okružen brojnim fizičkim procesima. Onog trenutka kada je uspio da
kontroliše neke od ovih procesa, u potpunosti se odvojio od svojih životinjskih predaka i postao predak
današnje ljudske vrste, homo sapiensa. Najprije koristi energiju Sunca, pronalazi vatru, koristi energiju
vjetra i vode. Ne tako davno, čovjek uspijeva da dobije energiju iz atoma. Ali, pronalazak, koji je u
različite ravni postavio „modernog“ čovjeka i njegove pretke jeste pronalazak električne energije. Od
tada, energija vode se ne koristi samo za vodenice, nego za hidrocentrale, a vjetrom se ne pokredu samo
brodovi nego vjetroturbine, danas smo okruženi mnoštvom uređaja, koji rade pomodu električne
energije, zahvaljujudi pronalascima Nikole Tesle.

Zaslugom onih, koji ne zaslužuju da se nazovu homo sapiensom, zalihe fosilnih goriva, kao
primarnih izvora energije su drastično smanjene, havarije na postrojenjima za eksploataciju sve češde, a
ekološka situacija u svijetu je izuzetno kritična. Nagli prelazak sa klasičnih na obnovljive izvore energije,
bio bi izuzetno skup. Zbog toga je neophodno povedati efikasnost postojedih izvora energije i popraviti
kvalitet električne energije. U radu de biti predstavljeno rješenje za poboljšanje kvaliteta električne
energije.

Summary

Many physical processes have always surrounded man. At a moment when man has succeeded
to control some of these processes, he has completely departed from his animal ancestors and he has
become the ancestor of mankind, i.e., of Homo sapiens. First, he has used solar energy, he has
discovered fire, and he has used the energy of wind and water. Not so long ago, man has succeeded to
get the atomic energy. But the invention that put modern man in quite different plane is the invention of
electrical energy. From that moment, the energy of water has been used not only in water-mills, but also
in hydroelectric power plants, the wind moves not only the ships but also the wind-turbines, and today
we are surrounded by many devices which operate using electrical energy, many of them owing to
inventions of Nikola Tesla.

But owing to those who don't deserve to be called Homo sapiens, the reserves of fossil fuels as
primary energy sources have dramatically decreased, the utility plants have been damaged more often,
and the ecological situation has become very critical. A hasty transition from classical to renewable
energy sources would be very expensive. Thus, it is necessary to increase the efficiency of existing energy
sources and to improve the power quality. In this paper, a solution for power quality improvement will
be presented.
