NIŠ U ANTIĈKO DOBA
NAISSUS IN ANCIENT TIMES

Apstrakt

Svi smatraju da je istorija isto što i istorija ratovanja. Ovaj rad pokazuje da nije sve u ratovanju, i

pokazuje onu mirniju stranu istorije. Rad govori o samom gradu Nišu u antiĉko doba, kako je

izgledao i koliko je bio razvijen. Pokazuje sloţenu strukturu grada, privredu i kulturu stanovništva.

Cilj rada je bio da se grad izdvoji iz istorije ratovanja i politiĉkih dogaĊaja. Kljuĉne reĉi: Niš,

antiĉko doba, grad, jugoistoĉna Evropa

Abstract

Everybody thinks of history as history of wars. This work shows that not everything is about wars,
and shows the peaceful side of history. The work deals with the history of the town Naissus in

ancient history, how the town looked like, and how develop it was. It shows complex structure of the

town, its economy and the diverse cultures of its population. The aim of this study was to separate

the town itself from a history of wars and politic events. Key words: Naissus, ancient history, town,
