HROMATOGRAFIJA BILJNIH PIGMENATA IZ RUŢA

CHROMATOGRAPHY OF PLANT PIGMENTS FROM ROSES

AUTOR: TAMARA ANDREJEVID, učenik VIII razreda, Osnovna škola ,,Branko Dopid” Beograd

                                                          REZIME

                                                         SUMMARY

The theme of this paper is chromatographical separation of plant pigments and comparing
chromatograms with pigments from five roses kept in different conditions. Four rouses kept in different
conditions for eight days before investigation, and one red rose was fresh. We investigated four red and
one pink rose, which completly lost color before chromatography. Chromatograms of roses were
different. This shows that pigments of roses are sensitive to change of conditions. From chromatograms
it can be seen that pigments are stable no matter how polar their molecules are. Surprisengly, rose kept
in water one day, and then seven days without water give same chromatogram as fresh rose. This should
               be investigated further more.
