Abstract:
When we read we enter another world that is somewhat different or similar to ours. We read

about new people and their lives. In Jane Austen’s novels we enter a world of 18 century in Britain. Jane
Austen was English writer, who wrote six wonderful novels which havein some ways affected
generations.The purpose of this work is to understand how novels Pride and Prejudiceand Emma
affected generations. These two novels have sparked public dialogue and shape culture throughout two
centuries and with their satirical perspective on English society changed points of view of many
generations. Through the years these stories about love, passion, prides and prejudices have influenced,
created and sparked changes perhaps not in society but individuals.

Apstrakt
Kada čitamo mi ulazimo u novi svet koji je na neki način drugačiji ili sličan našem. Čitamo o novim
ljudima i njihovim životima. U romanima Džejn Ostin mi ulazimo u svet Britanije iz 18. veka. Džejn Ostin
je engleska književnica, koja je napisala šest predivnih knjiga koje su na neke načine uticale na generacije.
Namera ovog rada je da se razume kako su romani Gordost i predrasuda i Ema uticali na generacije. Ova
dva romana su podstakla mnoge razgovore i oblikovala su kulturu kroz dva veka. Ove satire Engleskog
društva su menjale poglede mnogih generacija na društvo. Tokom godina ove priče o ljubavi, strasti,
gordosti i predrasudama su uticale, stvarale i podsticale promene, možda ne u društvu, ali jesu u
individuama.
