PRISUTNOST PSEĆE PANTLJIĈARE NA PODRUĈJU LAJKOVAĈKE I
LAZAREVAĈKE OPŠTINE I UPOZNATOST SELJAKA SA TIM PROBLEMOM

                                                           REZIME

Pseda pantljičara je parazit mnogih životinja. Može imati stalne domadine (psa, vuka, lisicu) i
prelazne (svinja, čovek, goveče, ovca, koza... ).

               organima.

                                                         SUMMARY

A dog tapeworm is parasitic in many animals. It can have permanent hosts ( dogs, wolves, foxes)
and transitional hosts ( pigs, humans, cattle, sheep, goat...). It is removed by operation if humans have it,
medicines are used for dogs, but it is best to eliminate the infected pigs.

The goal of this research has been to establish the presence of the pigs and dogs infected with
the dog tapeworm (Echinococcus granulosus i Echinococcus multilocularis) in some of the villages of the
municipalities of Lazarevac and Lajkovac, and also if farmers are well-informed about that problem. We
have managed to do that by surveying farmers and veterinarians of these two municipalities. The
statistics of infected animals are not available because the farmers obstruct veterinarians when they fail
to inform about their infected pigs.

The results of the research provide us with the information that farmers are relatively well-informed
about the manifestations of the dog tapeworm in pigs, that they can recognise infected pigs, and they
know what should be done with infected organs.
