REZIME
otkrili potencijalni toksični i genotoksični efekti.
kontrolu.

SUMMARY
Allium anaphase–telophase test is recommended for monitoring and can be used to detect the presence of
genotoxic environmental pollutants. It is very important to determine the percentage of genotoxicity of
th
river water, which serves as a source of drinking water. Three water samples were collected on 21 of
January 2013 from the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, the Danube near Zemun and Danube at
Sport center 25. May, and analyzed using the Allium anaphase–telophase test, in order to detect potential
toxic and genotoxic effects. Significant inhibition of root growth in relation to the negative control was not
recorded. Analysis of genotoxic effects, counting aberrations in anaphase and telophase, showed that all
samples were significantly different compared to the positive control (metilmetansulfonat), while only one
sample of water from the Sava river was significantly different compared to the negative control.
