                                                             SUMMARY
               The divergence between American and British English caused Georg Bernard Shaw to say that ‘The United
               States of America and England are two great nations separated by a common tongue. In fact, most of the

               time the two peoples understand each other fairly well’.  Winston Churchill gave almost the same comment.
               Oscar Wilde  also  commented  that  ‘The Americans are identical to the British in all respects except, of
                                    
               course, the language.‟

               American English is a form of the English language used in United States of America. It also includes all of
               English  dialects  that  are  used  in  USA.  British  English  is  a  form of  the  English  language  used  in  Great
               Britain. It includes all the English dialects used in Britain.

               Have you ever wondered why British and American English are different, and what is it that makes them so
               different?

               In  this  paper,  you  can  find  answers  for  those  and  many  other  questions.  I  will  introduce  you  with  the
               differences  in  spelling,  pronunciation,  grammar  and  with  many  other  differences  in  everyday  English.
               Everyone can see these differences, not just Americans and Britons, people in Serbia can also notice the
               differences while they are watching some TV shows or movies.

               Divergencija  izmedju  američkog  i  britanskog  engleskog  prouzrokovala  je  da  Georg  Bernard  Shaw  kaže
               ‘Sjedinjene Americke Drzave i Engleska su dve velike nacije razdvojene sličnim jezikom. Ustvari, dvoje ljudi se,
               vedi  deo  vremena,  razumeju  dosta  dobro.’  Winston  Churchill  je  dao  skoro  isti  komentar.  Oscar  Wilde  je
               prokomentarisao ‘Amerikanci su skoro identični Britancima u svakom pogledu osim, naravno, u jeziku.’

               Američki  engleski  je  forma  engleskog  jezika  koja  se  koristi  u  Sjedinjenim  Američkim  Državama.  Takodje,
               uključuje sve engleske dijaletke koji se koriste u SAD-u.

               Britanski engleski je forma engleskog jezika koja se koristi u Velikoj Britaniji. Uključuje i sve engleske dijalekte
               koji se koriste u Britaniji.

               Da li ste se ikada zapitali zašto se britanski i američki engleski razlikuju i šta je to što ih čini različitim?
               U  ovom  radu,  nadi  dete  odgovore  na  ta,  kao  i    na  mnoga  druga  pitanja.  Upoznadu  vas  sa  razlikama  u
               spelovanju, izgovoru, gramatici i sa još mnogo razlika u svakodnevnom engleskom jeziku. Svako može videti
               ove razlike, ne samo Amerikanci i Britanci, ljudi u Srbiji mogu, takodje, uočiti razliku dok gledaju neke serije ili
               filmove.
